This was a large-scale painting commission to be installed in the cafeteria at William's Den children's play area. The brief was to provide a visual support to the play area's ethos to get children interested and engaged with the outdoors. With a view to encourage children to develop an active interest in their local environment and to think more creatively about using colour, I painted life-sized pictures of local wildlife (the Roe Deer and the Red Kite) and a made a colour-it-in animal fact sheet to be be put on the tables underneath the paintings.
